Well, a cat's reflex is faster than mine, so my decision would be to slow down and swerve a bit to the opposite direction in which it is heading. There is no ditch that will cause no damage to your vehicle, and if I was trusted to take the vehicle, it would be a big matter in falling in a ditch or not. I never head fast in any direction in any position while inside a vehicle, so slowing down might be my definite course of action. I do indeed value the life of another living organism, but if it couldn't be helped, then I would have to. That there does not prove I am evil though, I perform no malicious rituals, I seek no vengeance. Your perspective on the word "evil" differs from mine in that evil is to be without emotion or to disregard another life.
